The Story of Treitak Thayat

 Beginnings on Ugarat

Born to two Gesurats (military veterans,) Thayat was well positioned in Morat society. Even as a Dat,the youngest Morats, Thayat had access to resources and training that would position her to follow in her parents' footsteps.

Gesurat housing, utilitarian but granting the basic needs for growing Morat families

Thayat trained hard under the tutelage of her father, a Diplomat of the Rasyat division. She was taught the ways of Morat culture and warfare, nearly synonymous, and of the weaknesses and shortcomings of alien species. As she began to take her role in the wider society as a Kurdat, she sneered at the various prisoners of these species as they engaged in the forced labor that keep Morat society turning.

A Kurdat Apart

The time had come for Thayat and her fellow Kurdats to prove themselves in the hunt. This ritual serves as their graduation - if they are succesful, they will ascend to the rank of Gesurat - a full soldier of the Morat Aggression Force.

Each group was tasked to bring back a certain number of slain Tinaraks, a dangerous prey even by Morat standards. As long as an individual group met their quota, they would graduate. But to come out on top among all groups would mean particularly consideration in a Gesurat's first assignment.

While scouting the dense foliage, Thayat came across a strange device, and hatched a plan.

A mysterious gift of the Evolved Intelligence - out of place in the wilderness

A rival group had cornered a small group of Tinaraks - such a kill would surely put them on top. Thayat used the device to create a distraction, briefly breaking the focus of the contending Kurdats. This gave the Tinaraks the opening they needed. The Tinaraks broke free of the trap, and gravely wounded a number of the pursuing Kurdats.

Thayat and her peers were able to take the kills for themselves. This treachery brought glory, but earned her no friends. She would fear no retribution, however, for after this day she was a Gesurat, and to attack a Gesurat is to attack the Morat Aggression Force itself.

Early Service

While a Gesurat is a recognized soldier, the newest among them still needed experience. This often meant work off-world to manage an uncooperative species.

Camp Gordat

The first years of her service were spent on Camp Gordat - a labor camp and transportation hub on a hostile world. Goods and recently captured alien subjects were brought to camp Gordat for sorting and shipping. Many of the local population had been subjugated to perform these duties.

Camp Gordat was a frontier hub for planetside operations

Slaves of the Morats are kept in groups of 10. How one fares, they all fare - they are responsible for the behavior of their peers.

A particularly large population had just been brought in for branding and processing. One of the alien under Thayat's watch did not take kindly to this arrival, muttering under his breath and daring to look up at a driver. Gesurat Thayat was expected to deal with this transgression.

A tank of water is no place for poorly adapted aliens

The local aliens had a very temperamental physiology, particularly vulnerable to moisture. They required a dry environment to regulate their temperature and metabolize properly.

Not wanting to look weak in front of her superiors, the young Gesurat took advantage of this. Their folly earned the 10 of them a night standing attention in a water processing tank. Only 2 would be able to walk out under their only power, and only 2 more were suitable to work after this punishment. The other 6 were replaced in short order, and Thayat upheld her duty.

Becoming Treitak

After performing admirably on assignment at Camp Gordat, Gesurat Thayat was appointed by her superiors to the Treitak division. There she would learn to be less of a blunt, maiming instrument and more of a sharpened, targeted knife. Treitaks are experts in infiltration and assassination, tasked with eliminating high value targets. Failure is not an option for a Treitak.

 Assault on the Human Sphere

Treitak Thayat was among the Combined Army forces that made first contact with humanity. Her life has been bloodshed ever since.

 Paradiso

Her exploits began on Paradiso. Elbow to elbow with Tarlok Battle Groups, the Morats skillfully navigated the dense jungle that proved so troublesome for humanity. Their supply lines were raided, their technology sabotaged, every hallmark of the Treitaks was in play.

A Need for Medicine

The Combined Army forces currently engaged with humanity are isolated. There are no supply lines or reinforcements in their near future. While the MAF's strike forces are lethal and effective, their soldiers not fearing death, a more sustainable approach is needed to maintain their foothold. Treitak Thayat is among the first class of Morat doctors to be trained in the field during Paradiso operations.

Assault on Durgama

Treitak Thayat was a shadow among the forces that swarmed Durgama and the space station above. She and her unit were sent into the station with a simple charge: damage humanity's footprint, by any means necessary.
The battle was bloody, room to room, hallway to hallway, with five humans falling for every one Morat that was repelled.

Critical infrastructure and systems were damaged, allowing for engagements elsewhere in the station. They would arrive at their final target - a ranking member of the Haqqislam forces that were tasked to aid with the defense. The battle was swift, and no human survived.

Elite Haqqislam guards could not keep Thayat from her target

Having eliminated her target, Treitak Thayat returned to receive her next mission.

409th Vanguard Company Deployed to Dawn

The Evolved Intelligence has designated Dawn as the next target for Kornak Gazarot and the 409th Vanguard Company. Treitak Thayat and her comrades are to follow and starve the humans out of their trenches.
